La
Gayette, estaminet in Arras
Traditional cooking and specialities of Northern France
Our story
The soul of an estaminet, the standards of a fine restaurant
In the heart of Arras, on place de la Vacquerie, La Gayette keeps alive the tradition of the estaminets of Northern France: the village café-restaurants where people came as much for the company as for the food.
Everything is made in-house, from the mains to the desserts — and the ice creams come from a master artisan ice-cream maker, Glaces des Alpes. Carefully sourced regional produce, exposed brick and family photographs on the walls: a warm, welcoming atmosphere a stone’s throw from the Grand-Place.
